Snail facials hit the Tokyo beauty scene

A Tokyo salon is offering a new kind of facial, using Japanese native snails. It is thought that the mucus from the snails is beneficial to people's skin.

A five-minute session with these one-year-old molluscs will set you back just over $100 (£65).
