Sulu: The islands home to Philippine militancy
The islands of Sulu, in the south-west Philippines, is a region that has become a haven for international militants.
US troops arrived on the islands shortly after the 9/11 attacks in New York and Washington, on a mission is to advise their Philippine counterparts on strategy and tactics to win the fight against the different Islamic rebel groups on the islands.
