North Korea's culinary tribute to 'Dear Leader'
North Korea's state news agency has released pictures of a national food competition held in the capital Pyongyang.
The event is reportedly organized as a tribute for the upcoming birthday of former leader Kim Jong-il.
North Korea has often been associated with famine and food shortages, but state media promoted the event as a move to "improve the country's food culture".
David Hannah reports.
