Impact discussion: Does Bollywood commodify women?
Following the gang rape and murder of a 23 year old student in Delhi the debate about the treatment of women has taken the centre stage.
In fact protests are still taking place across the the country and many celebrities have weighed in on the debate.
Mishal Husain examines how women are portrayed in Bollywood and asks whether the industry needs to change its ways.
Mishal was joined on the Impact programme by the award-winning film actress and director Nandita Das and by the Pakistani filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy who won an Oscar last year.
