Typhoon Bopha hits Philippines
A powerful typhoon has struck the southern Philippines causing flooding and power cuts and forcing tens of thousands of people to leave their homes.
Typhoon Bopha made landfall on Mindanao early on Tuesday, bringing heavy rain and wind gusts of 210 km/h (130mph).
The BBC's Kate McGeown, who is in the capital Manila, said the storm so far had not caused the destruction expected.
