Sydney hoax collar-bomber Paul Peters sentenced
A man who locked a fake bomb around the neck of a teenage girl in an apparent extortion attempt has been jailed for 13-and-a-half years by an Australian court.
Paul Douglas Peters attached his fake device to Madeleine Pulver, then 18, at her home in Sydney in August 2011. It took police and experts 10 hours to analyse the device and declare it safe.
The BBC's Duncan Kennedy says the prosecution believe Peters may have targeted the wrong house.
