Plastic surgery on the rise in Afghanistan

There has been an increase in the number of cosmetic treatments and plastic surgery procedures carried out in Afghanistan in recent years.

Plastic surgery was first introduced to Afghanistan in 1990 when hospitals offered free surgery to victims of war.
