At least 41 people have been killed after a suicide bomber targeted a mosque in northern Afghanistan.

More than 50 people were also injured in the attack, which took place while many were taking part in prayers to mark Eid al-Adha.

Many of the victims were civilians and police officers, as Caroline Wyatt reports.
