Cambodia's former king Sihanouk dies
Cambodia's former king Norodom Sihanouk, who played an important role in events in south east Asia for more than half a century, has died in Beijing.
Norodom Sihanouk, aged 89, was a pivotal figure in Cambodian public life for more than six decades.
He reigned as king, then served as prime minister, before two decades of turmoil that saw him stand as both an ally and a prisoner of the Khmer Rouge.
