French soldier killings: Afghan family makes plea

Help

A former Afghan soldier is awaiting execution after being convicted of killing five French soldiers he was serving with.

Four soldiers were killed instantly and a fifth died later of his injuries in the shootings in Kapisa province in January.

However the family of Abdul Saboor is calling for his life to be spared, claiming he has mental health problems.

The BBC's David Loyn reports from Kabul.
