Hu Jintao marks Hong Kong handover

Help

Chinese President Hu Jintao has been leading the main events as Hong Kong marks the 15th anniversary since its handover from UK to Chinese control.

He swore in businessman CY Leung as the city's new leader. At the ceremony, Mr Hu offered "warm congratulations" to Mr Leung and his team and described the 15th anniversary as a "joyous occasion".

A lone heckler stood and shouted at the Chinese president during the speech, but he was quickly bundled out of the building.
