The baby who was 'buried alive'

A baby girl is in hospital after her father and uncle allegedly tried to bury her alive, apparently as a sacrifice to protect the health of their other children.

Baby Radhika has acute malnutrition and is receiving treatment in the town of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh state, 80km (50 miles) east of Delhi.

Her mother, Bharati, is at her bedside.
