Pakistan's President Zardari visits India

Help

Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari has met the Indian prime minister in the first visit by a Pakistani head of state to its neighbour in seven years.

Officials say the president's visit is a private one to pay respects at a Muslim shrine in the country, but it is hoped the trip could help boost economic ties between the two countries.

Sanjoy Majumder reports from Delhi.
