Faulty drugs given to 46,000 in Pakistan
More than 100 people have died in Lahore after taking contaminated heart medicine, Pakistan officials have said.
The deaths, which span a three-week period, are linked to a batch of faulty drugs given to over 40,000 cardiac patients at a government-run hospital.
The BBC's Orla Guerin spoke to the head of Lahore's Jinnah Hospital, Dr Javed Akram, in a ward where people affected by the incident are being treated.
He said Pakistani hospitals are often forced to buy the cheapest drugs available.
