It has been a difficult year for India's governing Congress Party.

It has been under pressure over corruption scandals, rising prices and an ageing leadership.

Now focus is shifting to Rahul Gandhi, the latest member of the country's famous Nehru-Gandhi dynasty and many are hoping he can revive the fortunes of his party.

The BBC's Sanjoy Majumder joined him as he campaigned in Uttar Pradesh, India's most politically influential state.
