Help

US President Barack Obama has arrived in the Australian capital Canberra for a two-day visit.

During his stay he will address the national parliament and visit the northern city of Darwin.

The US is concerned about China's increasing prominence in the region and Mr Obama is expected to announce that more US troops will be sent to train in Australia.

The BBC's Duncan Kennedy said Obama had a very close relationship with Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard.
