Militias take control of Tripoli airport after heavy fighting

An alliance of militias, which includes Islamists fighters, has taken control of Tripoli's main airport, after weeks of battles between rival groups in the Libyan capital.

The fighting has lasted for five weeks and seen hundreds killed or wounded.

Egypt is hosting a regional summit to try and deal with the violent situation in Libya.
