Summit gives opportunity for more US investment in Africa

5 August 2014 Last updated at 11:36 BST

The summit is seen as an opportunity for US President Barack Obama to show his commitment to Africa, where currently less than 1% of America's overseas investment goes.

Adrienne Murray reports from the South African city of Johannesburg.
