Ghana beats: Wiyaala's 'war song'

Musician Wiyaala is a feisty young woman from northern Ghana, bursting with attitude and drive.

She first grabbed the nation's attention on a talent show, and later with raunchy videos.

Featured in this month's BBC World Service Global Beats programme, which focuses on music from Ghana, she chose to perform a new song called Tinambi from the album she is recording in South Africa.

She spoke to DJ Rita Ray about her inspiration, her image and passion for motorbikes.

Global Beats: Ghana will be broadcast on Saturday 21 June at 08:06 GMT and Sunday 22 June at 19:06 GMT on the BBC World Service.
