Security tight ahead of South Africa poll

Thousands of police officers and soldiers have been deployed in some townships as South Africans prepare to head to the polls on Wednesday.

The areas have been identified as hotspots, where possible violence could erupt amid widespread discontent over economic and political turmoil in the country.
