10 February 2014 Last updated at 16:26 GMT

Former Congolese rebel leader Bosco Ntaganda has appeared at the International Criminal Court for the start of a hearing that will decided if there is enough evidence for him to stand trial.

Gen Ntaganda, widely known as "The Terminator", is accused of committing war crimes a decade ago.

He was once one of the ICC's most wanted suspects, accused of using child soldiers, keeping women as sex slaves, and murder.

The BBC's Anna Holligan explains.
