Mandela's impact on former white extremist stronghold

The beginning of the end of apartheid was a time of great uncertainty for South Africa's white population.

So what has been the reaction in areas that were once strongholds of conservative Afrikaners?

Fergal Keane has been to the town of Ventersdorp, once home of the white extremist leader Eugene Terreblanche.
