Nelson Mandela and his jailer: An unlikely friendship

Nelson Mandela spent 18 years in prison on Robben Island and during that time one of his guards was Christo Brand.

He spent years as his jailer, even moving with Mr Mandela when he was relocated to Pollsmoor prison on the mainland.

Mr Brand told the BBC's Andrew Harding how Nelson Mandela changed his view of South Africa for ever.
