Kenyan citizens patrol Nairobi streets to step up safety

The attack on Nairobi's Westgate mall has led to questions about security and policing in Kenya.

In the last year crime levels have risen dramatically. But a Kenyan-designed project has increased community safety by inviting local citizens to patrol their neighbourhoods.

The BBC's Moses Rono has visited one of these projects on the outskirts of Nairobi to see if it works.
