Kenya Westgate mall attack 'part of wider global jihad'

The attack on Nairobi's Westgate shopping centre by suspected al-Shabab militants appears to be part of a wider global jihad, according to Cedric Barnes from the International Crisis Group.

He told the BBC's Andrew Harding that al-Shabab was aligning itself clearly with Al Qaeda and wider international jihad networks.
