President Robert Mugabe has been sworn in for his seventh term as Zimbabwe's leader, despite allegations by his main rival, Morgan Tsvangirai, of widespread electoral fraud.

Thursday was declared a public holiday to allow supporters of the 89-year-old to attend the inauguration at a sports stadium.

Nomsa Maseko reports from the ceremony.
