Senegal-US economic link highlighted by Obama visit

President Obama has arrived in Senegal on the first stop of his African tour.

Senegal is a former French colony and saw a peaceful and democratic transfer of power to its current president Macky Sall.

Although Senegal has close links with France, the United States has also been funding many educational projects through its development agency.

Laeila Adjovi reports from Dakar.
