Rupiah Banda: Kenya elections 'went well'

Millions of Kenyans have been voting in crucial elections.

Authorities have urged the population to avoid the widespread bloodshed that followed the 2007 polls.

Zambia's former President Rupiah Banda - who conceded defeat in his country's general elections in 2011 - is leading the US-based Carter Center's election observation mission to Kenya.

He spoke to BBC Africa's Sophie Ikenye about the polls.
