Female candidates campaign for Kenyan vote
Kenyans will go to the polls next week to elect a new president and members of parliament.
The United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, has appealed to Kenyans to ensure that peace reigns throughout the process.
For the first time ever, the ballot will guarantee greater female representation in parliament.
Under the new constitution, voters will choose one female candidate from each of Kenya's 47 counties.
