South Africa: Shooting at Anglo American platinum mine

At least five miners have been reported shot by security guards at the Anglo American platinum mine in Rustenburg.

A police spokesman said there was a stand-off between two rival mine unions, the National Union of Mine Workers NUM and Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union.
