When it comes to rebuilding a nation, one country that is facing an enormous task is Somalia.

After decades of instability, the newly elected government - just five months old - faces many challenges, especially the continued threat from the militant Islamist group al-Shabab.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud says the country is on the right path and urges patience.

He spoke to BBC Africa's Sophie Ikenye.
