French president hailed after Timbuktu Islamists ousted
French President Francois Hollande has received an enthusiastic welcome in Timbuktu, after his troops helped recapture the northern Mali town from Islamist rebels.
But Mr Hollande warned that it would be wrong to assume the conflict against the militants was over.
