Jacaranda tree debate in Pretoria
A fierce debate is raging in the South African city of Pretoria about whether its famous jacaranda trees should be removed.
The trees, introduced from South America more than a century ago, have an invasive root system and need a lot of water, preventing anything else from growing around them.
