Archive interview with Ethiopian PM Meles Zenawi
The Ethiopian Prime Minister, Meles Zenawi, has died at the age of 57, state media say, after weeks of speculation about his health.
He took power in 1991, when Ethiopia was beset by poverty and very vulnerable to famine.
In this interview from 2008, the BBC's Zeinab Badawi asked Mr Meles if Ethiopia had continued to need billions of dollars of food aid because of a lack of investment in agricultural development.
