African Dream: Kenya's Alison Ngibuini
As part of the BBC's African Dream series, Nairobi resident Alison Ngibuini describes how she was inspired to set up her own communications company - called Al Is On Productions - in 2003 after growing fed up with seeing American and Mexican imports on TV.
She hopes her company's soap operas, dramas and education-entertainment series will help put Kenyan television on the global TV market.
African Dream is broadcast on the BBC Network Africa programme every Monday morning, and on BBC World News throughout the day on Fridays
