Sharia law dispute in Mali
In Mali, the secular rebel group Tuareg MNLA and the Islamist Ansarr Deen have split after taking control of the North of the country two months ago.
One of the main sticking points was the Islamists' desire to enforce Sharia law.
Despite initial reluctance from the Tuaregs, a merger was initially agreed.
But two days later it is now off, raising fears of yet more instability in the area.
