Timbuktu not safe, says mayor Halle Cisse


Timbuktu's mayor Halle Cisse says the situation in the city is confused and it is unclear who is in charge.

Radical Islamists seized control of the trading hub over the weekend and now say they want to impose sharia law.

Mt Cisse said 15-year-olds with weapons were roaming the streets and nothing was safe and secure.
