Dewani accused in Cape Town pre-trial hearing
The men allegedly hired by Shrien Dewani to kill his wife while they were on honeymoon in South Africa have appeared at a pre-trial hearing in a Cape Town court.
Mziwamadoda Qwabe and Xolile Mngeni have been charged with murdering Anni Dewani during a staged hijacking.
Speaking from Cape Town, Karen Allen said lawyers speaking for the men had pressed for a swift trial, to be kept separate from any proceedings involving Shrien Dewani, who is fighting an extradition order in the UK.
