Libya prisoners make new torture allegations

A hundred days after the capture and killing of Colonel Gaddafi, the BBC has seen further evidence that his former supporters have been tortured in jail.

Prisoners at a military facility in Misrata said they had been beaten, whipped and electrocuted.

Earlier this week the medical charity, Medecins Sans Frontieres, said it was suspending its work in one detention centre in the city because of an alarming increase in torture cases.
