Unemployment worries as Liberia faces run-off election

4 November 2011 Last updated at 17:05 GMT

Liberia heads for a run-off vote on 8 November, and voters hope that the promises to fight unemployment from both the incumbent and the opposition will be honoured.

The incumbent and Nobel peace laureate Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf won 43.9% of the 11 October first-round vote, while Winston Tubman was second with 32.7%, according to the National Elections Commission.

The election process will be a measure of how much progress has been made since civil war ended eight years ago.
