Being African in Hollywood


Most commercial cinemas in Africa show Hollywood films and the Californian dream factory occasionally deals with African subjects.

Films like Out of Africa and Hotel Rwanda have been very successful around the globe.

But how does the US film industry represent Africa? What has been the experience of African actors and film-makers working in Hollywood?

Nnamdi Moweta spoke to some of them and sent this report to the BBC's Network Africa programme.
