Risky gold mining booming in Senegal
Informal gold mining has boomed in recent years in Senegal.
Once a small village of just 500 inhabitants, Diabougou, in east Senegal, is now the country's largest informal mining site.
Thousands of miners have travelled from neighbouring countries in the hope of finding gold, although the activity is highly dangerous.
