Nato helps rebel offensive in Sirtre
British Tornados fired missiles at a large bunker in Libyan leader Col Gaddafi's hometown of Sirte, officials have said.
The town, which is 250 miles east of Tripoli, is Gaddafi's birthplace and home to around a 100,000 people including tribes still loyal to him.
Nato has confirmed that the RAF Tornadoes also destroyed 29 armed vehicles.
Paul Wood reports.
