South Sudan: US envoy Princeton Lyman confident

South Sudan will officially become an independent nation on 9 July.

The world's newest country faces numerous challenges, not least that fighting in border areas, particularly the northern province of South Kordofan, could spread across its border.

The BBC's Peter Okwoche asked the US special envoy to Sudan, Princeton Lyman, how confident he is that everything will go smoothly on Saturday.
