Ivory Coast: Stand-off continues amid violence
A key aide of Ivory Coast's internationally recognised president, Alassane Ouattara, has said the time is right for a "rapid offensive" in the country's main city, Abidjan.
UN forces are trying to protect tens of thousands of civilians who have taken refuge in a church in the town of Duekoue.
About 800 people are believed to have been killed there last week after fighting between militias loyal to the two men who claim the country's presidency.
The BBC's John James reports.
