Egypt's Coptic Christians gather to celebrate Christmas

Coptic Christians in Egypt have been celebrating the start of their Christmas festivities amid tight security.

Last week 23 people died in a bomb attack on a Christian church in Alexandria.

Police in Cairo and Alexandria were checking people's identities before allowing them into services.

Pope Shenouda III, head of Egypt's Coptic church led the midnight mass in Cairo.
