Nobel prize for chemical weapons monitors

The 2013 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, which is currently involved in the destruction of poison gas stockpiles in Syria.

The Nobel Committee praised the OPCW for its extensive work in eliminating chemical weapons.
