16 August 2013 Last updated at 20:11 BST

The Muslim Brotherhood has called for a week of daily nationwide protests.

At least 60 people are reported to have died in the recent violence bringing the total death toll to around 700.

The Muslim Brotherhood has warned that the actual death toll figure is much higher than the one reported by Egyptian authorities.

There is a curfew in place and the interior ministry has warned that anyone who fails "to respect the curfew, will be dealt with firmly".
