US maintains aid to Egypt as it reviews Morsi ousting

As the crisis in Egypt deepens, the Obama administration has signalled that it is not about to cut off aid.

The White House says it is still reviewing whether the actions of the Egyptian military amount to a coup.

Under US law a coup would automatically block the sending of aid.
