Kurds clash with Turkish police

Help

The jailed Kurdish militant leader Abdullah Ocalan has called for an end to a hunger strike by hundreds of his supporters in Turkish prisons.

It comes after demonstrators clashed with police in a Kurdish-majority area of south-east Turkey.

The prisoners have been fasting since mid-September and doctors say they could die soon.
